He handed me my ticket back and said, "
I didn't leave room for Jemaine to sign. Sorry. "


We took a photo together. I was still dying inside about the guitars. Then I waited for Jemaine.

Then the photographer from the European mag was there and he said, "

So we all piled into the picture. He also took one of some people holding Bret up in the air (NO JOKE!) and he was laughing saying, "
Yeah...this is what I always do with my fans."

Rita, the birthday drunk girl, wanted a pic with both the guys [...]

She was getting antsy about getting her picture with both the guys. Eugene said, "
I'll take a picture with you!"

Well, I want Jemaine."

"
Oh, okay, you want Jemaine well..."


Jemaine was signing someone's poster at the time and she said, "
Don't bother him!"


Eugene said, "
Jemaine, don't ask me why, but I need to borrow your glasses for a second."

So Bret starts laughing uncontrollably. The three of them took a pic. I got one from the side.

I didn't feel like there was a whole lot of banter, I guess it's possible Bret still isn't feeling well? I had really bad seats, so I couldn't tell. They really played a good part of Freebird! The audience was well behaved, and any yelling from the crowd I felt was almost provoked with long periods of silence.

Then Bret sat down at the Wurlitzer and I KNEW what was coming! This was what I was soo hoping would happen - SELLO TAPE!! I literally started tearing up. And they had everyone stand up and sing, and clap, and sway and all of the house lights were on, and you looked around and there were 6,000 people clapping and swaying (and me singing at the top of my lungs lol) it was MAGICAL!

In one of the breaks between songs, the duo graciously thanked St. Louis and talked about their day visiting Union Station and how great St. Louis city was. Jemaine joked, "
You probably think we say the same thanks to every city"
and then ripped off his blue button up shirt to reveal a Cardinals t-shirt, which drove the crowd wild. Bret chimed in, "
Yes, we love your hardball team."
Jemaine then quipped, "
I thought that was a band."

When hecklers (there's some in every crowd isn't there?) shouted from the balcony, asking where Murray and Mel were, Jemaine and Bret politely pointed out that they are fictional characters on the TV show. "
That's like seeing Harrison Ford and asking ‘Where Darth Vader is,"
Bret said.

. Jemaine messed up his rap about the casserole in the beginning so they restarted it (he got it right the second time). After he messed up, he said how it hurts his feelings when we laugh when he messes up. I'm pretty sure he flubbed lyrics another time or two but I can't remember during which songs (it doesn't really matter, but I just think it's cute when it happens). I love how they change the lyrics a little (Jemaine: "

Jemaine kept having difficulties with the guitar stand. It kept getting tangled up in it so he threw it, haha. Later on, he sat on his guitar strap, got caught in it and just ripped it off out of frustration. He first tried to throw it into the audience but it just landed on the stage. He sat back down, "
That wasn't very successful, was it?"
but then he tried again and some lucky person caught it.

Bret coughed/cleared his throat into the microphone ("
Sorry, I'm a bit phlegm-y"
). Jemaine then gave Bret a "
helpful stage tip"
and told him he finds it's best to lean away from the mic when clearing your throat. Bret said he usually does that but "
this one just snuck up on me"

sometime during the set a man walked up and placed two bowls on the stage. Jemaine and Bret started laughing. Jemaine said usually people will just throw things but this guy just walked up and gently placed the bowls on the stage. They said we were a very polite audience (since the show was in Philly, Jemaine asked if he could call us Phil. Later he said we responded better when he called us Philadelphia not Phil).

when all that was said and dont with the guys, we went to meet kristen. she was busy with other people.

the lights dimmed and a booming voice came over the speakers and promised the audience that "

by the opening act, Kristen Schaal.

The crowd professed their love for the group, requesting McKenzie and Clemet to take off their clothes and complimenting their footwear choices. The pair played along and even reprimanded a man for interrupting another heckler.

and the two robot guys in the front row pretty much upstaged them by dancing during the song. That was great! Those are some dedicated fans, they were also literally the last people to leave after the show.

When it was over it was raining and i immediately got sad thinking that there was no chance of a meeting since our beloved bret-y had been sick.. but there was people gathered around the bus so i walked over and stood in the rain for an hour.. finally nigel came out and we talked him in to coming over to sign some stuff.. All these girls were asking to sign shirts and he had no where to put them cause everything was wet from rain so I took one for the team and was nigel's personal table while he signed everthing.. I told him I would ride on the bus with him and be his personal table.. lol Kristen came out and signed autographs and took pictures she was so sweet... Then bret ran over and used me as a table a few times, then signed my shirt and took a picture. I asked if he was feeling better, he said much better, but he didnt wanna get sick again... lol He also said i was "

He told me to check it to make sure it was good, I said ok when i stop shaking lol he laughed and said ok breathe, then check the picture.. It was perfect of course cause Jem was in it.. and I walked away...

Jemaine: which color?
Guy: both!
Jemaine: Well, that covered our costs for this evening


After: No meet and greet :#sadd#: I did have cakes for them and they didn't get them. There was no question that I wanted to give the cakes directly to the guys. After a little bit we thought about the fact that we could've gave them to Eugene...but...I dunno, they are a delicate thing to me. So, after walking back to the hotel we pigged out on them and I drowned my sorrows. nahhhh...I wasn't that bad :;
