Itzel, left without even a farewell -Sorta works?
Nik, was slick, and set off real quick
Chloe, left after her dream with Bowie
ETA: DURR. It took so long for me to think of more lyrics that there were like 5 posts already resolving Itzel's problem. " title="" border="0"/>
This one works best. Because it's the closest to how you pronounce my name (eat-CELL).

I that the Conchords laugh at men in this song. Men will always stay boys.
I love Carol Brown not only because of the beautiful catchy music, but also because of funny, sort of childish rhymes. My 12 year old students liked that song. Since Jemaine started adding lines at the live shows, like "
Beth, did you really need to fake your death?"
etc., together with my students, I tried to come up with other names:
Isabel, why did you tell me to go to hell?
Mary, I'm not that scary.
I'm sure you can do better than me ;
).
That's so cute! I wish I had a teacher like you in middle school.
Let's see...
Katie, thought I looked eighty
Ami, would only disagree
Sylwia, had the wrong idea
Haley, got mad at me daily
Sara(h), moved to the sierraCourtney, was a guarantee
Courtney, rather earn her degree
Chrissy, thought I was a big ol' sissy
Jess, saw no progress
Jewelle, rather date a tool
LOL well some of these are kinda haggard, but now I know what I'll be trying to think of throughout the day. " title="" border="0"/>

baby stop your cryin'
don't be broken hearted
you knew i was a badass when we started
love could never bloom for two lovers like us
you knew i was a badass when you saw me sittin' at the back of the bus where only the baddest asses sit
well i've got to ramble and i've got to go
well i hope that this email will help to soften the blow
gonna let ya down easy baby
it felt alright but we're just two ships in the night
now's the morning baby
time for this ship to take flight
i'm a spaceship baby
i've gotta ramble and i've gotta go
i hope this group email will help to soften the blow
i'm gonna let ya down easy ladies
[/align:4xj2xgu9]
There's just that one spot I'm not sure what he says. Can anyone make it out? I've listened over and over. " title="" border="0"/>
ADD: Thanks to Sylwia and Katie for the lyrics I couldn't get!

I think at the end he says "

, because it's a group email.

I love that song too. I'll never forget the moment they started to play and Jemaine started singing this song we'd never heard!

Is this something about committing a suicide? Why do we even try to die / kill ourselves if not everyone is so lucky to die?

I have serious doubts about this song being against prostitution

this thread!
Some of you know that I really don't listen to lyrics consciously...I listen more to melodies, harmonies, etc. FOTC are definitely an exception.
Bus Driver's Song - this has always been one of my favorite (if not favorite) songs. I rode on a ton of buses in NZ, and was chuckling to myself so many times because of things the bus drivers said (the random facts and also phrases) and the way they said them. Bret and Jemaine definitely nailed it!
The one lyric question I have is from BDS. "
breakin' them ______ rules"
? Oh, but I looked up the lyrics and it's "
breakin' them changing shed rules"
? That's it? It sounds like there's an extra syllable in there after "
shed"
.
(by the way, I hooked up my ipod and played this song for one of my buses one day )
Hotties - I used to never know what they were saying for "
Fisher and Paykel"
because I'd never heard of that. I think Laura said something about it once which is when I found out that it was an appliance brand. Anyway, one of my bus drivers said it was named after a prostitute (or rather named after a river that was named after a prostitute), but I'm not sure if he was telling the truth or pulling our legs.

Probably they wrote this song while they were still in love with Sally . Bret is wearing a t-shirt with Sally's picture when they're singing it .

I've noticed some parallels between some lines of their songs. If you find more, it'd great to see them .
This one actually is what Bret and Jemaine noticed themselves:
Too many dicks
Too many dicks on the dance floor...
...Five to one, it's a brodeo,....
The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room)
It's 12:02. Just me and you
And seven other dudes around you on the dance floor.
***[/align:skptqj0s]
a guy doesn't want to admit to his friends he was dumped or rejected
I'm not Crying
And if you think you see some tear tracks down my cheeks,
Please, please don't tell my mates.
1353
If it matters not to you, either way
I'll just say that I wooed you anyway
I'll just tell all my friends that I woo w-w-w-wooed you lady
Because there's a wager in the village that I'd never woo a lady
***[/align:skptqj0s]
ladies looking at some places that they shouldn't
Sugarlumps
I see you girls checkin' out my trunks.
I see you girls checkin' out the front of my trunks.
I see you girls lookin' at my junk.
Then checkin' out my rump,
Then back to my sugalumps.
(And in fact the whole song about it " title="" border="0"/> ).
Jenny
...I just didn't look at your face!
That's one of the places you should check (or any other variation of this line ;
))
