I decided I'd try to jot down the lyrics to the spanish version of Too Many Dicks - Muchos Pendejos.

There were some areas where I really couldn't understand what was being said, so I've left question marks in those areas of text.

De nada. But I'm not really sure about some of them. They speak very fast and some lyrics don't make sense at all. Anyway, I think the English translation is fairly accurate.

the slang is what i have trouble with because, as itzel pointed out, there are MANY different kinds of Spanish out there.

for instance, the last video "
hay que joderse"
contains a VERY naughty term for Cubans ("
joderse"
is a reflexive verb for "
f'uck yourself"
) but this might be acceptable elsewhere. from what my mom has told me about Spain, and from what i've seen on the Spanish tv stations here, Spain is more lax about expletives.

my Chicana (a term that describes a mix of Mexican-American and Indigenous cultures) friend explained to me once that "
culo"
is a very dirty term in the kind of Spanish she grew up with in Mexico;
for Cubans (and for Spaniards) it is a perfectly fine reference to one's arse. i was watching a television show here in the states that was filmed in Spain, and the word "
culo"
was censored!

So, yeah. lots of options = makes translation a challenge.
