At about 3am on BBC4 they are showing the 2nd series with BSL translation.
I'm not so good at the technological stuff but recorded 2 songs with my camera Angels has better sound than femident.
I enjoyed the womans expressiveness.

I'm proud of you you didn't burst out laughing while recording it.
She's amazing! Some expressions seem pretty Maori. I think I'm going to learn some British signs .

That is brilliant! I love her expressions too!
Thanks so much for recording this, Laura! I watched the earlier broadcast at 11.15pm last night without BSL. I think this may be an incentive for me to stay up to watch it especially as next week is 'A New Cup'.

Imagine her face when Jemaine will be singing "
Sugalumps"
and Bret "
you don't have to be a prostitute"

I would have loved to have seen her sign Murray's "
Rejected"
with all the over-emotion in that one.
Also, I agree - Sugalumps/Prostitute would be epic.
Thanks for capturing those, Laura.

It was amazing!
Wasn't quite ready with the camera yet though.
I'll get next weeks songs in the same way if you want " title="" border="0"/>
(I quite like my non-techie way " title="" border="0"/> )
I'll get the sound better next time though " title="" border="0"/>

that's so interesting! i don't think i've ever seen BSL before (obviously it's all ASL over here)...it seems more charades-y than ASL, as in you might be able to guess some of the signs without knowing the language (angel, clouds, robes, rain, etc.).

Could you do that, please? That would be amazing! non-techie ways FTW!

Oh gosh, laura I love youuuuu! Thank you so much for this!
I seem to be pretty much incorporating FOTC into every corner of my life these days... my BSL classes have so far been FOTC empty though. Problem solved!

I really want to learn BSL! One of my friends is going to classes at the moment and I was going to go too but really don't have time for them at the moment. Until I do I'll content myself with recording FOTC-signed songs off the TV!

Oh man! I was a different woman this week - still good but not nearly as funny as last week. I'm uploading the videos now so they should be available later tonight or tomorrow " title="" border="0"/>

You could totally turn these signs into insults to do behind people's backs...

. A possible addition to Sugalumps on the tour? ;

Even if they saw them, they wouldn't feel offended (assuming they didn't know the BSL) but at least you'd be satisfied .

'You can put away your tool'.... so funny. Look at her face closely, it's like she's embarrassingly stuffing it in a box. xD

It takes soooo much time up (I think more than I was actually expecting xD) so I can understand that you opted out for now.
But hey, as long as for the moment all you want to do is tell people your name and talk about prostitution, sugar lumps, toothpaste and angels having sex you're all set!
It's the content of your average conversation so you should be OK. ;
