Could they do these songs live?

Just thought I'd compile a list of songs they haven't ever played live yet and songs that would probably prove a little difficult for them to do. Maybe we'll see some of these live this year, who knows.
These are also songs that hadn't made it to an album yet (and probably never will).
Here we go...in no particular order.


Theme Song
Haven't done this live, I think it would be fun. I can picture them bobbing side to side as they play it. Fans would love it.

Rejected
They obviously can't do this without Darby. And Darby can't do it without the opera voice (assuming it wasn't him singing that part, I don't think we ever found out, did we?).

Cheer Up Murray
This would be cute. But again, Darby should be there. They should have a whole mini set with him...it would be great. Leggy Blonde, Rejected (if possible), Cheer Up Murray, Hurt Feelings reprise...

Hurt Feelings (reprise)
Can't do this unless without Mel, Murray, Doug and Greg of corse. It'll probably never be done, but it would be cute.

Song For Sally
They probably haven't done this because some people (a lot of non-fans of the show or early episodes) might not know who Sally is. Also, I can't picture it without a piano.

Mel's Dreams
Well she's apparently doing some shows with them this year so it's a possibility!

Doggy Bounce
They'd need Todd and Dimitri of corse. I don't really like this one but it would be fun to see them do it with T & D.

Who Likes To Rock The Party?
This would be a great one, I'll bet everyone in the crowd would sing along. It's not a long song but they could probably easily improv a 2nd and 3rd verse for it.

Love is a Weapon of Choice
It's doubtful they'd ever do it. I can't see why they would even consider it. It's all visual gags.

Stay Cool, Bret
We'll probably never see this one. probably can't do it acoustically and they'd need a lot of the cast to perform it with them.

Au Revoir
This would be a cute way to end a show. They kind of did an improv version of it at the end of the Folk The World album (or it could have just been an early extended Faux Du Fa Fa).



It's also kind of hard to picture how they're planning on doing Sugalumps and Too Many Dicks. I wonder if they'll include a drum machine or samples or something or if they'll just be acoustic. Either way, it will prove to be very entertaining. Maybe they'll even have Dave do his parts on the dates he'll be on tour with them?

Anyone else think of any I might have missed?

They've (jokingly) done little bits of Who Likes to Rock the Party and Cheer Up Murray on the last tour.

I don't see why they couldn't do any of them live. They're creative guys. I'd be over the moon if they decided to do the Hurt Feelings reprise or Song for Sally.

i've always wanted to hear song for sally live.

Korean Karaoke isn't listed, but Bret would probably need to have a big long list taped on his guitar (remember the 'Foux du Fafa' list).

Then again, I think most non-Korean-speaking people would!

Nah, I can't see them doing that one at all. Unless there's a screen projecting the lyrics behind them, not too many people would get it.

I'd like to think they could do this without the others. In fact, I'm dying to hear it with just Bret. My dream is that they open with Bret doing this version, and then bust into the regular song. If he was playing the piano, that would be a double bonus. I'm not going to press my luck though.

They've already done Sexy Flower and Rock Beat live before so we know it's possible.
Too many Dicks would be great acoustically because it's not only a beat driven song, but also has great, amazingly funny lyrics.
I'm In Love With A Sexy Lady also seems very possibly acoustically. I'd probably enjoy the song better that way. I hate how mainstream produced it sounded on the episode.

I think Too Many Dicks is possible. Why not? They've used a system before and they are playing in bigger venues this time around. they have a lot of time to figure out how to do it...

That's my favorite thing from the BBC Series. They'll never play it, but it would be AMAZING if they did.
