Great thread! It would be awesome if the questions suggested in this thread were made into an interview with the boys. It would be such an insightful interview and much better than the run-of-the-mill, awkward interviews the B & J have to go through.

I'll have a think about which questions I'd ask them but for now I would ask Bret a Video Kid related question. As well as asking him when he's going to make another album, I'd really like to know the lyrics to 'DJz Girlfriend' since they can be quite hard to make out. I especially would like to know what the DJz girlfriend is (so far popular suggestions are 'outer zone' and 'amazon') ;
)

I know what you mean since I'm fairly religious myself but then again I'm not overly sensitive and I don't really take offence to such jokes as long as there isn't any ill-will behind it. Just as what has already been said, B & J are such sweet guys and seem so open-minded that I'm sure they didn't mean to upset and offend any fans Smile

I guess that's what comes with comedy these days, comedians are always out to push boundaries but so far I haven't witnessed B & J doing anything extreme to cause much offence.

I know I'm slightly off topic (very off topic) but if you can't talk about politics and religion with your friends, who can you talk about them with? I find that people's beliefs and views are the most interesting things about a person and it's a shame that so many people see them as off limits for fear of offending someone.

Having said that, I can understand that religion to a religious person could be a touchy subject. If someone slags off Richard Dawkins or Charles Darwin, I just argue that whatever you think of them, they are/were incredibly influential in their fields and it's no skin off my back. If you're a Muslim, on the other hand, you're meant to love Allah to a greater degree than any mortal, so it's bound to rankle somewhat.

Unless the Conchords start taking inspiration from Bernard Manning, I doubt I'll ever be offended by them. [image]

I just feel like, I don't care what your opinion is, and I'm sure you don't care what mine is, and that's not the reason we're friends anyway, so why are we having this conversation? I make friends based on a common interest, or I just spend a lot of time around them and sort of... end up there.

Especially with political stuff. I absolutely DREADED school during election time and for several weeks after. I don't think it's anybody's business but my own who I voted for, and I said a lot of "

to a lot of people, even some clients when I'd had enough of them pressing me for it. I was just raised to think talking about that sort of thing was rude.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet (I'm not paying attention) but I'd like to know what they plan to do if they don't continue as Flight of the Conchords. Will Bret continue with his other projects, or start a new band? And will Jemaine continue making movies awesome with his mere presence on screen?
