Synopsis: Bret and Jemaine are forced to move in with Mel and Doug when they are unable to pay their rent;
Murray wants to cash in on a play about the Conchords.

I love Doug so much. The look he gives Mel when she tells Bret & Jemaine they can move in with them is priceless.

probably but recently jemaine has said now he's not 100%. hbo hasn't tried to renew it yet either.
i wonder how the ratings have been this season vs last season, btw?

Do we know for sure they haven't tried to renew? I'm partially wondering if HBO are waiting to hear from Bret & Jemaine on whether they would even want to do it again. Then again, it sounds like they never asked them if they wanted to do the second season.

If it doesn't get renewed, I wonder if we will ever get specific confirmation. I don't want us to still be wondering about it months from now.

Do you guys think that they will ever make a specific statement saying that the show is truely over? When should we excpect it? By this point in the first season we knew it was coming back.

i was just thinking what a trip it would be if this ended with bus driver's song.
like, maybe at the end they'll move back to new zealand or to new zealand town (somehow) and we'll get this song.
i think it would be a pretty emotional scene for big fans of the show and an amazing way to end the series.
also it would be a great apology for not including it twice before when it was set up ;

i doubt it would end on such a depressing yet cute/funny note anyhow but it would be great. it'll probably be just like any other episode and not have much of a finale feel to it at all. "

i guess did but i didn't really think they were actually going to come back and continue iot so who knows.

I feel like I've heard them say that they'd like to go back to NZ and foster up and coming comedians. Seems like Rhys and Rosie are already doing this with Awesomeness International.

Plus, Jemaine is set to do a show with Taika:

I could see Bret doing lots of random stuff (more radio shows with Taika? ).

This is purely me thinking/speculating out loud. Sorry about that.

Yeah, I know they will do lots of stuff after the show. That's cool. I'm excited to see where they go from here.

It's just right now the status of the show is still up in the air. I'd like to know for sure whether or not it is coming back. That's what I was asking earlier. I don't want to be hoping for a third season months from now. If it truly is the end, I wish they would say so definitively and put an end to all the speculation.

Is that too demanding?
