In an interview appearing this coming Sunday in The New York Times Magazine, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement , the wacky New Zealand singer/songwriters, reveal that the plot of the next edition of their Flight of the Conchords focuses on their native country's prime minister coming to the USA to meet our new president. The P.M. is played by an actor but did they get Obama to do a cameo? Coyly, Jemaine replies, "
We can't tell you."
Bret: "
HBO might have put him in there as a treat for us."

Otherwise, the boys disclose that they may not get picked up for a third season so they plan to "
go straight to the fourth season,"
as Bret puts it. They disclose that they met by punching each other out , "
like two Russell Crowes."
They dispute the claim that there is no nudity in the series. "
We have facial nudity,"
Jemaine points out. New Zealand accents are so strange that even the natives don't understand it so they don't talk much. As for their music, Bret admits, "
I wouldn't want to listen to it."
