Black Seeds Interview - Bret is discussed

OMG, this interview is SO boring..... :

And they were deceptive when putting it on youtube because the description makes it sound like the point of the interview was to discuss Bret. And by discuss, the interviewer asks if Bret will be rejoining the Black Seeds. In the whole thing (8:59), they only talk about him for 2 min (beginning at about 5:55). Thought I'd post it anyway, in case people were interested:

By the way, I wasn't sure if this should be posted over here or in the Bret section, so if I chose incorrectly, feel free to move it!

They seem to be a bit tired of talking about Bret, which is understandable;
they're probably always being asked about him.


Wouldn't it have been awesome if Bret had popped up in the background, naked and playing the dg-20?

The Black Seeds spawn Flight Of The Conchords gags

The Black Seeds from New Zealand have earned acclaim on the international dub scene with the four albums they've released in their ten year career.

But now their profile is preading even further thanks to former member Bret McKenzie.

One half of the comedy duo Flight Of The Conchords, Bret played with The Black Seeds until 2006.

With the success of his tv show he's had to officially leave the band. But he still likes to hang out when he can.

He'd just finished filming the first series and he came over for a week. Played some gigs, we shot a music video, hung out, it was great, like the old days really. Except when we got to the airport to leave he was mobbed by young girls. That was the only difference really. It's also funny hearing some of the jokes on the shows that we've heard for years in the van in situations that are real that have been fitted in to the show."


The Black Seeds have just released their new album Solid Ground.

That'd be so weird...if you were friends with someone and then all the sudden they got super famous. Ah,well.That's life.
