Business School: Unintentional FOTC Moments

I do the exact same thing.. unfortunately it's only worked on one person and she just happens to be the other Admin here!! I've turned people on to them yes but I've not been able to fully turn anyone over lol

I was driving to school yesterday and this dude was on a bike and looked like Bret...not only did he look like bret but he was wearing this outfit that just said "
photo shoot bret"
! Really strange...he was wearing a corduroy yellow jacket and this black business pants/shirt underneath it, nice shoes, and carrying a laptop or bag of some sort.....ON A BIKE! I just laughed cause I thought...that could be Bret on a bike doing a photo shoot! LOL Ok...now that i've written it out I sound nuts! That makes NO sense! guess you guys had to be there! LOL

You're not nuts lol. I was checkin some guy out all night when I was out with my friends because he had a beard that looked like Bret's and was kind of skinny haha.

so i had a friend over earlier in the week, and we were listening to some old school music--sir mix-a-lot came on with "
baby got back"
--and he says "
red beans and rice didn't miss her"
--and i thot of jemaine singing "
you could buy me a burrito and some beans and rice"
...

and then i got this image in my head of jemaine dancing behind some girl who's shakin her big ol booty, and him smacking it...

nearly cried i laughed so hard!!!

LOL I could picture that... if he's anything at all like his character on the show then I could totally see that!

Hi Everyone! I'm new here. Thanks to Ines for inviting me! This is such a fun thread!

I woke up too early today considering how late I went to bed last night, and I woke up with this beautiful bit of a song in my head, which somehow came into my head while I was sleeping. I was thinking to myself, "
Try to remember this so you can record it later"
so I kept looping the bit of the song over and over in my brain. And then... it started to morph. Somehow, it morphed into Foux du Fafa. It didn't even sound like Foux du Fafa, but something about it transitioned well into Foux du Fafa and now I have had Foux du Fafa looping in my head for the last half hour. The other song is completely gone. Foux du FaFa wins. It's amazing how even when you are trying to focus on remembering something else, Flight of the Conchords STILL manages to sneak it's way in. So, I guess the song in my brain reminded me of Foux du Fafa, wheteher I wanted it to or not. :-)

no ones been on here in ages! anyway i have 2 things that reminded me of the guys, the 1st is that this guy i sort of like got a hair cut that looks alot like Bret's and this guy knows and likes fotc (no AS much as me lol if he did it would be wierd!) and the the 2nd thing is that today our school had a talent thing and this really really cute guy was doing folk comedy! HA! he came 2nd! lol he had my vote!

This may not quite fit on this thread, but the other day I was talking to my husband about grilling some kebabs for dinner. I said 'kebaab' like Jemaine does instead of my usual 'kebahb'. This was completely unintentional. I've never said it that way before;
it just came out. My husband thought it was terribly amusing, but he thinks my whole 'thing' with the FotC is terribly amusing. Anyway, now we both call 'em 'kebaabs'.

Yeah, we're a witty pair. Look out!

Hahaha speaking of kebabs.... last week I was at a restaurant with some co-workers and ordered kebabs for one reason and one reason only..... I know, I'm sad and pathetic.

So I had a BBQ with my friends yesterday (along with this hot guy that another friend brought along). Me and my friend Sally geeked about him that whole afternoon and, don't worry, there were quite a few "

comments thrown out by yours truly.
Later on while we were getting shii together to take out to the boys to start grilling Sally said "
Deanna, should we make keb-ah-bs? Those'll probably make it all easier to grill, don't you think?
And I said "
Yis actually, yis. I want to share a kebaab with the most beautiful boy that I have ever seen with a keebab."
And maybe, just maybe, sang it a bit, too.

And then she looked at me funny.

Another kebab mention.....I saw an ad in a flyer for grilled "
kabobs"
and my first thought was "
That's not how it should be spelled, who writes this?"
Then, naturally, the beautiful girl song played in my head on a continuous loop for most of the day

i love in one interview when they were explaining how it is really called kebab in new zealand and bret said they couldn't say kabob in the american way because you can't say "
lets get in a cob i'll buy you a kabob"
lol

YIS! when we went to the FOTC show i bought my boyfriend a kebab and he bought me a burrito and some beans and rice.

i went to this middle eastern restaurant the other day and they had it spelled "
kebab"
and i was so excited.

ok totally off the topic of kebabs but last week Jess and I were visiting our dad and he shows us his shoe polish... the brand name was 'Kiwi' and had a little picture of a Kiwi bird on! lol I totally don't think he was showing it to us because anything to do with the guys but of course where does my mind go to...
