Can someone recognize the brand?

It looks like Cort on the headstock. Cort do make acoustic basses.

Nothing pops up immediately on google searches for that particular style/colour. More research needed. Smile

It's definitely a Cort. I believe it's a Cort SJB-3 WS acoustic/electric bass. It doesn't seem to be a model that's available in the US. All the websites I found it on were in Spanish, Italian, or another language.

emira/Sylwia,

thanks for the info about Jemaine's acoustic bass, you sure know your instruments. Feel free to contact Jem to on MySpace to ask about the use of the green bass, I'm too shy to ask :-X Thanks for starting this thread, it has informed me a lot about different instruments that FOTC uses

I especially love the lack of instruments as an instrument ;<br />D

side note: when I went to buy their black concert shirt at the Madison show, I said "
I'll take the one with the xylophone on it"
and the seller says "
it's not a xylophone, it's a rockin' glockenspiel"

now I know better [image]

Awww, thank you.... [image]

I may finally ask Jemaine a good question I can get an answer to. I need more time to think about the right question to get the right answer... It's like going through 'The Labyrinth'. ;

That u-bass is awesome. I've been wanting one of those... I hope it ends up coming over to Europe...

The one on the right is (the funny thing is that it's the instrument from the 70s - "
We're not from the 70s! We're from New Zealand!"
- [image] it was about clothes, actually).

What about the black one?

from The Phoenix Foundation fb album Su su su studio:

Nic traded us his Moog for a voice transformer for a couple of weeks... totally awesome swap but it dieded a little bit the day we got it. Sounded awesome on that one song though....

And FYI it was Nic who plays the very pretty Moog solo on St Kevin, on this very moog..in this very room...but like 7 years ago or some crazy shii.

This is Jemaine's beauty:

and it hasn't been said here in this thread that Bret's guitar

The Boys and their toys - FOTC's instruments - Page 5 4617155560_ca2b9152b8_b.jpg

is an , I think. :#idea#: More about this guitar .

***[/align:1h0kxcrw]

These two were easy. Anyone can recognize Jemaine's third guitar during this tour? (The second one is his old Guild). Actually, it's his first guitar, since he played it during the Amsterdam gigs as well. This photo is from the Copenhagen show.

Jemaine uses a table as a drum at the very beginning of this video, around 0:40 min.
