I couldn't be happier.

I've got mixed feelings too. I think the show is complete and that's good they ended this up before it would get boring.

The end of the ideas for this show doesn't mean the end of ideas at all. It's time to move on and do something even better . They still exist as a band (with their myspace, official website and twitter ) so there's something to be looking forward to.

my so called life"
. both of those shows were short lived but have a huge cult following and are some critics fave shows.

its better that it was ended before it got stale.

and ... writing a show with musical numbers, along with filming and recording, is very hard on our boys.

I was never really holding out hope for a third season because they kinda wrapped up the show with the last episode quite nicely (and the fact that they kinda had to work in the one song they had left pretty awkwardly XD) and, you know, it made sense.

I think my being sad about it is just that I never really got to be like "
ooh, new episode!"
, "
ooh new song!"
and yeah, it's a bit selfish, but that kinda stuff just always makes me feel so...I don't know, left out. Or out of the loop with things. *shrug*

It's kinda weird, though, the fact that that's it. It's done. It's over. Hearing or reading about something like that is always jarring to me. I'm just like "
oh...ouch."
I'm glad they're moving on and doing other things, don't get me wrong, but still. It kinda hurts, haha. Especially to us newbs. XD

wait until UK tour time! there will be tons of stuff going on here! tons of things to look forward to and to talk about! tons of gold and zebra printed sex pants and sequin thongs to talk about!!!

I'm definitely not surprised and I'm happy for the most part. Like others have said it's what they want and I just want them to always do what they want. I will miss TV Bret and Jemaine dearly but it's real Bret and real Jemaine that I am more interested in. " title="" border="0"/>

By the sounds of it the band is going to continue so that makes me super happy. There is still a lot to look forward to.

Besides Sheila's right, tour time is the best time of year. I'm just happy that we at least had the show and grateful that we will always have it.

Thank you Bret and Jemaine for giving us so much of yourselves.

I'm not surprised, and I'm not that disappointed since I love the seasons of fotc we have and not having the series continue doesn't make them any less special. What I'm really going to miss are the characters of Mel, Dave, Eugene, Murray, etc, but I'm happy the boys followed their hearts and decided to end it. I'm so excited to see what they do next!

This is what has me a little down. The anticipation of it all is just as fun as watching and talking about the shows. And since the last two seasons kicked off a US Tour, I figured a third season might do that too. Now I can only hope that they tour the US every once in a while. :-/

Agreed. It's very bittersweet. I'm glad that they left on a high note. But I will miss them terribly...as I have been for several months. This just leaves the door open for Bret and Jemaine to do more great things.

Just keep in mind that they weren't touring to promote their television show, they were touring to promote their albums.

I'm glad they're doing what they want to do. I mean, I'm disappointed that there won't be any new episodes of the show, but I'm really just happy knowing that they're going to continue as a band.

i'm not surprised and, quite frankly, i'm relieved for all of them.

we will now have the opportunity of squeeing about their individual projects and (with any luck) upcoming tours so, really, as long as they don't fall off the face of the earth (not very likely, according to Newton... but then again, what does *he* know *eyes Newton suspiciously*) i'll be happy.

my only concern is that it may be difficult to keep tabs on james' work in the future

Thanks Conchords for providing me with a programme that was smart and funny, there are too little programmes with both of these characteristics...
