My new desktop

Just wanted to show my new desktop as I like it...

Although probably a fantastic new picture will arrive very soon and demand to be my new desktop picture.

It feels very decadent to start a new thread just to show this to you all, but I couldn't see anywhere else to post it.



Anyone else want to share pictures of their desktops to give this thread a good reason to live?

(To be fair this is my Dad's desktop & I always mess with the wallpaper. My laptop's wallpaper is Bob Dylan. )

Mine is not usually quite so pristine! I've just come to the end of a massive project, so took the opportunity to clear the decks. It never gets too bad, but I am feeling the urge to fill it up a little bit again...

Hmmm, I love your desktop. I don't think I'd get any work done if I was looking at that all day.

I keep all of my files in folders. Everything is labeled, subdivided, and backed up.

Same with me...but like I said,this is my Dad's (and he has a lot of crap on his desktop,but I can't not use his computer because he has vista + a HUGE screen. " title="" border="0"/> ;

I don't keep anything on my desktop. The chaos is in My Documents.

and everywhere else is neatly filed and unchaotic, but my FOTC images folder is awful. I think I need to do some organising in there. Could be a pleasant way to spend a few hours if I can get past staring at all the photos...

Up until 5 minutes ago my desktop was completely cluttered with all the gifs I've been making :-[

It's a bit tidier now.

I'm naturally quite a messy person. At work I have to be so tidy and organised and at home I am completely the opposite. I do have a bret file nicely placed on the desktop along with random crap I never use " title="" border="0"/>.

My Documents folder is really untidy but my Bret file is perfect

Thanks to all of Nikki's wonderful pictures I am changing my desktop picture almost weekly

Yeah that's right! It's been about 0 degrees here recently but has got much warmer the past few days.

It doesn't usually get that cold here (about 0 is typical in winter). We are warmed by the Gulf Stream quite a bit which means mild summers and winters.

We are a LOT warmer than other places on the same latitude because of this. Sadly because we are so far north it now gets dark around 3.30pm and only gets light again at 8.30-9am

yes, mine's a bit boring right now...well, for you guys that is. it's the same as my current signature right now. (see below)

i'm sure it'll change back to something bret related once i've gone to both NIN concerts.


edit: oh yeah...and my whole computer is insanely unorganized. this would fall into the "
sin is a perfectionist and shudders just thinking about the huge number of hours it would take to organize everything the way i'd want it"
category.

My animated gif obsession, Laura's stunning gifs and an evening browsing the boards have now made my desktop look like this...



Not so pristine now...

Also, I love this one. Such a great choice to cheer up cold winter days.
