WANTED: 1980's dancing flower
Sat Jul 05, 2008 1:45 am
So if you've read the newest interview with Bret you'll know the significance of these retro 80's toys when it comes to the guys.
I'm sure a lot of us had them and if you did... I was wondering do you still have yours? Katie and I thought of a really cool idea that we can't tell you about YET. We just really need to find one ASAP. We've been hunting the intranets for them this evening and believe it or not NO ONE is selling them.. not even on ebay.
If you still have one that works let us know!

I think I know what you are thinking, Ami and I think it is awesome. I have looked all over the InterWeb and can't find them anywhere. This is about the only think ever made that you can't buy on eBay or elsewhere on the Internet.

OMG
I was tearing up laughing reading this interview.
BECAUSE I had one of these flowers and I was dying thinking about Bret singing to it. Coincidentally I am home at my mom's and will look for it - but I am pessimistic.
LOVE IT

If you want it for the SP20 show, and Haley has one, you can mail it to me and I will bring it to the Friday comedy gig.

Yeah,I dont remember what it does considering it's very old...I just had to take the batteries out with a knife and they were covered in acid or something...hard white stuff " title="" border="0"/>Amily wrote:Yis, looking for one that dances and does not sing...

It sounds like the batteries corroded. That happens when you leave them in for too long.

Ami - If Haley's flower works out, can you give it to the guys at the comedy show so I might get a chance to see the song? I am not going to be able to make the SP20 concert itself on Saturday, and I would REALLY like to see them do this song.

I had that happen to an old Iron Giant talking toy I bought on eBay for my son, and I was able to take it apart and fix it. If you want to go ahead and send it to me, I can clean it up and hopefully fix it. I am pretty good mechanically

Yeah I could give it to them then... I'm not really expecting them to play the song right after I give it them though. I imagine it's been a few years since they've played it and might not remember how or might want to practice a little before playing it again. If they would even consider it. Who knows... we just thought it would be a cool gift to give them.

Ah,'uck,I can't get it to work. I'll have to ask my Dad to try...It doesnt look like the one you posted a picture of,though...it's a sunflower like I said but it's not stuffed,it's hard on the bottom and soft on the top,if that makes any sense..I highly doubt it works since it's so damn old. And I hope this white stuff doesn't do anything when it touches your skin. I'm all itchy, but then again I'm so paranoid " title="" border="0"/>
I'm sorry *goes and hides in corner and cries*

Awww ... don't worry about it! It would have been cool, but it was still awesome of you try. You did more than the rest of us could do. *hugs*
