A collection of autographs by Bret, Jemaine, and company...
...because they're AWESOME!
...because they're AWESOME!
Flight of the Conchords Autographed "Convergence Device" : from the Comcast keynote presentation at CES 2008
This Flight of the Conchords signed stool was auctioned off on December 5, 2008 for Rock For Kids and raised $500 to help provide music lessons for children who wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise. It was signed at the May 14th, 2008 concert at the Chicago Theater, and was one of the stools that the duo sat on during their performance that evening.
Photographed by: Steve Nozicka (http://www.nozicka.com/)

... please enjoy this signed package of Yves Meatless Roast Beef courtesy of Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords. ...
Okay, I've met Jemaine (I helped them out at SXSW and did a photo shoot with the band) but this actually came courtesy of their manager and was given to Tom. Who gave it to me. ...
I get coffee with this...and Taika Waititi's autograph

Yes! I think people should add autographs they've received too.

Jemaine couldn't think of what to write on my ticket because he'd been thinking of witty things all night - I was one of the last he signed. He asked what I wanted him to say, but I couldn't think of anything - so he wrote : "Kristi nice evening with you, Jemaine". He handed it back and said "You can tell everyone what you like about that."
*******
I'll post mine later on

Here are mine. It was in Glasgow after their first show. They were in a hurry so I really appreciate that they took their time to write my friend's and my names (they asked about the spelling) and write short notes.
First I gave them my friend's cookbook to sign. Jemaine checked the title page and then wrote the line from the same song (I assume it is his proposition for the title of our book Bret, when he saw the book said "sweeeeet" with a wide smile. I told him that she saw them in Amsterdam but hadn't got the book yet and she asked me to give them to sign it now.
I gave Jemaine my songbook to sign. After he wrote my name, he thought aloud "Now... what should I write?..."I said, "I don't know... maybe that you love me or something?"
"OK"
(It wasn't very original suggestion but he couldn't come up with anything as well, so we're square ;I think signing their CDs or songbooks isn't very stimulating for Jemaine. Next time - hopefully there will be next time - I'll give them maybe U2 album and see what they'll write ).
Bret didn't have more time to write something for me, so he just wrote his name and an "X" .
Not mine
ADD: I've just realized that that DVD is actually the first time where I see Jemaine's autograph with his surname!

Here's mine from 2008.
It's a musical card, which says "Instant messaging. Chat rooms... Don't you long for the days when it was simpler? Nah, me neither." and it plays "Knock Three Times" - which Bret danced to before signing.
And here's one that I got for my friend Alan last year:
Jemaine said that he could play him in a movie.

Vesna, I love that you got your Video Kid album signed - I hope he does do another one!
Nigel signed my uke first. He came out and nobody really wanted to speak to him/knew who he was. He was justa bout to go into the pub when I ran over to say hello. He was so sweet, and seemed very surprised that I had a ukulele with me and wanted him to sign it. A girl came over and asked if he was in a ukulele orchestra, and I got a bit excited and said very quickly, the wellington international ukulele orchestra! Nigel looked at me all puzzled and said "
woah, you know about us? that's brilliant!"
anyway, he had a play of it and tuned it for me. He told me it was easy peasy to play
Bret got very excited about it. There was a barrier between us (lots and lots of people there) he hada mini strum before holding it out in front of him and admiring the "
gorgeous"
colour of it, asking where I had got it from.
eugene signed it too! although I asked him if he wanted to and he said "
the question is my friend, do YOU want me to"
haha.
Of course, Jemaine signed too, very politely and lovingly. I wish I could have spoken to him more. My boyfriend asked him to sign our Eagle vs Shark dvd too!

Thanks Heather! Yes, I'd love him to make another album. He didn't rule out another solo album when I asked him.
I love that you got your uke signed! You probably started the trend during this tour! Aww, I love how surprised Nigel seems to be that there are fans of WIUO over here. When I asked him to sign my copy of The Dreaming EP, he seemed touched that I actually had it and asked where I bought it from.
