A very belated hello

Longtime lurker coming out to say hello
I'm Christina from the Chicago area. I've been enjoying this message board for quite a while, but only recently since my hours were cut at work have I been able spend some time to delve into a lot of the older threads and dayum there is a lot of great info and fantastic photos that I have never seen before. I love how you guys made the quilts for Bret and Jemaine, brilliant idea, so thoughtful and creative. I came in late into liking FOTC, I never had originally seen the One Night Stand show and just by chance caught the middle of episode 2 and was hooked since then. Caught two of their live shows in '08 and a few more in '09 (I'm still paying off my credit card bills for impulsively catching their final shows,with scalped tickets , bad, I know, in Berkeley...but well worth it ) I have a crappy camera and all my concert photos are blurry, but was able to take a few video clips. I got past security with my camera in Madison and taped Sugalumps and tried it again, discretely in Chicago, and it worked, so I made it my mission to document Sugalumps, almost got caught at the very last show. My avatar is my favourite screenshot is from their 1st Chicago show, they are so brilliant in concert, I hope they tour North America again....soon!

Like I said, I'm so happy you decided to delurk.

I hope you continue to enjoy it here... especially since we have a UK tour to look forward to. And many more quilt-like projects too I'm sure.

I am happy that you've delurked. Lurking is fun (I think we've all been there when we first joined ) but posting makes it even more fun.

(My ears perked up at tour videos. Can I ask if I have all your videos in the [url=Tour 2008][/url] and [url=Tour 2009][/url] archive? I think it's pretty close to having them all, but it's always nice to check. Thanks )

Hi Sarah, love your comprehensive tour archives, you've got almost all of mine, there is a short Sugalumps clip from Madison that's not on there, no biggie, the other one that you have must have been taken from the mezzanine right above me, same vantage point, mine's a bit shorter, with fuzzy audio :'(

and lastly, if you'd want to put this under miscellaneous, I recently made a (p)epileptic dogs remix of some short bits of them going into the remix that I had from the Chicago, Milwaukee and Berkeley shows, I thought they were so short to put up 3 separate ones so I lumped them together....how I wish I (or someone else) had a good copy of the entire Milwaukee (p)epileptic dogs, they screwed up the lyrics, big time, that Jemaine just said "
oh, just go to the remix"

They are actually beyond crappy, I deleted most of them, I saved just a few of the best-of-the-worst :
had I had a good camera this one would have been epic, also if the damn speaker wasn't blocking the view, this one was from the first appearance of the "
golden sex pants"
fotcmb did trademark that phrase, right? ;
