May 10 - Vancouver, BC (The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts)

Cant wait for the show! Me and a buddy tried to get tickets on ticketmaster and it was sold out before they even went on sale! We finally found 2 tickets Friday in the 12th row for $425! There was no way we were missing this show, and we're flying halfway across the country to come to the show! WOO HOO!!!

Myself and *boom-queen* are both here and we're driving to Denver and Salt Lake to see the guys play! Wouldn't miss them for the world. I'm sorry you had to pay so much for tickets, it'll be soooo worth it though. I was lucky enough to see them in Seattle last year at SP20 and they put on the most amazing show!

Denver was always a choice of ours since last year. We are actually having a big meet-up between members of the board and Denver seemed to be the halfway point for most of us. Then we decided to do SLC too since it would only be an 8 hours drive from Denver... we figured if we were already driving 20 hours what's another 8?

We were pretty lucky with tickets, especially SLC. I don't think Denver is sold out yet and with SLC a bunch of us got on the phone a couple minutes before 10am the day they had the pre-sale. We were blessed with a large number of front row center seats. As well as some 3rd and 7th row that we are selling to other fans at face value.

I dont blame the scalpers. If I had extra tickets, Id be selling them pretty expensive too. I blame ticketmaster! They have a sister site that is like ticketmaster, that is owned by ticketmaster, but they sell tickets for 4 and 5 times as much as the regular ticketmaster.ca. so technically ticketmaster is scalping too.

Youll have to let me know how the shows are. I am so freaking excited for this show! Im excited about our 12th row tickets but I couldnt imagine being in the first few rows.

shirt I got on ebay to the concert, the same one that Bret wears on the show. I hope they do a meet and greet or something like that, I would love to meet them.

Im going to snap....or should say, i HAVE snapped and im going to kill someone! I had ordered my 2 tickets to the vancouver show and the guy selling them just canceled the payment!!! WTF?!??!?!?!

nobody knows of anyone who would have 2 tickets to the Vancouver show would you????

I think you can still buy general admission tickets to the Denver (Morrison, CO) show...I know you said you wished you had known people were going. And they're the normal price! (~$40)

ADD: But you might have already booked your travel plans for Vancouver.

yeah, we have our flights already for vancouver. and we dont have passports to get into the states . ill keep checking craigslist and other sites but im going to be paying out of my ass! Wish I could go to the shows with you guys!

If you drive to Denver you don't need a passport, just ID.

Check Kijiji as well and Ebay. I know they'll all be rediculously over priced but I'm sure you will be able to find SOMETHING.

YAY! I found more tickets for Vancouver! Im now sitting in row a in the balcony. Still had to pay $425 for the two tickets but Im feeling much better knowing that I have tickets to get into the show and dont have to worry about scalpers at the event!

Im bummed too. We had it all planned out. We were using airmiles for the flight so our flight was $140, we have a place to stay in vancouver at a buddys place and the tickets were only $50, so our whole trip would have been about $200. But thats now what we're paying for just tickets.

Im just glad that we got tickets. I dont care that I paid $425 for 2 tickets, I just with Bret and Jemaine got the difference on the price!

Could you please help us get tickets to your (one, sold-out-in-seconds) show in Vancouver? Or please, please add another show! Toronto and Seattle each get two shows. What's up with that, eh?

Or, failing that, could you please write a song about what a bummer, a drag, a let down, a frustrating thing it is when tickets to your favourite band's show in your town sell out instantly (before you can get your tickets), and then are sold by dirty scalpers for quadruple their original price, and you've got a beautiful young child you are raising and therefore cannot really justify spending hundreds of dollars on tickets when the rent is barely paid, yo.

And please make it an extra catchy and consoling song, because we will need very badly to be soothed if we actually have to miss your show!

Hey there, I feel your pain. I live in Regina and am flying into Vancouver for the show. I was on ticketmaster.ca 5 minutes before the tickets went on sale and when they did, I had the site up and ready to order tickets. I was pissed when I found out that the tickets were sold out before they even went on sale. I sent in a complaint to the BBB about it, Ticketmaster already has a $500 million lawsuit against them for this as they have a sister site ticketsnow.com that sells ticketmaster tickets but for 4-10 times the face value.

I havent gotten anything back from them about it yet, but Im hoping something can be done. I can guarantee that you are not going to find any tickets for less than $200 each. I had to pay $425 for 2 tickets in the balcony, I also have a little guy (16 months old) and know how you feel about tickets, but its the price you gotta pay to see your fav band. If you cant pay more than $150 for a ticket, I would say dont even bother looking, but you might be lucky.

if you live in Vancouver try Craigslist. actually, here are the links for them. hopes this helps!

I know that we could get tickets from some exploitative jerkface scumbag scalper. and i am quite tempted to just do it. cuz i can't stand the idea that we really may not be at the show... however, and i know you understand as a parent, i really shouldn't spend that kind of money. over $400 for two tickets?? that is insane. especially considering that, truthfully, even $2.79 can completely blow the budget sometimes. you know what i'm saying?

we will remain optimistic though.

Try going to the venue the night of the show. I know a few people last year who were able to get tickets this way. Ask the box office about will call tickets that don't get picked up.

Also, there may be people who are there and have tickets they want to get rid of too.

i understand what you mean. I cant believe how much tickets are for this show! I didnt really want to spend $200 on a ticket, but like you said, I cant imagine not being at this show. I would seriously cry! I really hope you find tickets. Unfortunatly this is probably going to be the best place to find tickets that arent at least $150 a piece.

I'll try that! Thanks. We've got a babysitter for the night and are planning to head to the venue with visions of GETTING INTO THE SHOW.
