Flight of the Conchords star Jemaine Clement was at Fantastic Fest last week to promote his new movie Gentlemen Broncos, and while he was in town, IGN took the opportunity to quiz him about the Conchords' rumoured involvement with the Rock Band game.

We're going to be on one of the future Rock Bands"
he revealed. "
We don't know which songs yet but we're thinking about it at the moment and we're open to suggestions.

"
Some of our songs are just talking - one of the first ones they suggested was one of the talking ones, but we thought we couldn't do that as people would be just talking."

The Conchords in action - Jemaine is on the right.

Why don't you get your readers to suggest some - I'd love to see what the results are. I bet they pick really obscure ones."

Jemaine then proceeded to give us his email address so we could collate the results and send them through. So what are you waiting for Conchords fans? Get suggesting songs in the comments section below, and let's see if we can get them on a future Rock Band game...

I think I'd be bad at suggesting songs, considering I don't know that much about music (like which songs would best utilize the guitar, drums, and vocals [image]

) and Rock Band. I think I would just want to suggest my favorites like If You're Into It, Pencils in the Wind, and Too Many Dicks. [image]

I've only played Guitar Hero a few times, but I don't think so. Instead of specific cords, it's "

thats kinda why i wanted to learn guitar... because i thought it was kinda sad that i could do the "

The best songs for the game of Rockband would be ones that have a good drum base the gaming drummer can play along as well as regular guitar and bass for the two other players with guitars and a good sing-along part for the one who's doing the vocals. You kind of have to think about which would be most engaging for the players involved and I'm not sure any one song the Conchords have done fits all these criteria. . maybe Demon Woman is one of the ones that comes close. Actually, since it seems that most of the guys' songs centralize around guitars and don't have a lot of drumkit action, their songs would fit better in Guitar Hero.

Not to say that they're not good songs or anything silly like that, I'm just thinking of the context of actual gameplay, having played Rockband quite a bit myself. Smile

i think the game play would be terribly boring for that particular song (i love that song so dont take that wrong)

you def need a song with more instrumentation
