I just thought I'd mention that Iain Morris and Damon Beesley also write the incredibly funny "
The Inbetweeners"
on E4 (UK). The joke about Bret wearing the vest top that his Mum bought him and looking like Bruce Willis almost definitely came from them, as a similar situation happens to Simon Bird's character in the Inbetweeners!

I first wondered in there was a link between Iain Morris and Damon Beesley and FOTC when Jay's fake ID had the name "
Bret Clement"
:-)

Okay, no more posting (at least today) other than to say that I actually missed half of the jokes in this episode due to uncontrollable laughing, especially during "
Can Australians feel love?"
:-) Even my Mum loved this episode and she hardly cracked a smile during The New Cup.

By the way, The Inbetweeners may only be funny to people who went to British comprehensive schools. :-)

First of welcome to the board!

Yes it's pretty cool that the writers of the Inbetweeners were involved in the script writing process and I've watched most episodes The Inbetweeners- pretty funny stuff! I watched this FOTC episode around the time it was broadcast in the US but I only realised that the guys behind The Inbetweeners were involved in it a couple of months later. The whole 'Bret Clement' ID thing in The Inbetweeners was great. There's a screencap of that ID somewhere online but I can't remember where I saw it.
